EMERGE partners from the University of Bristol are organising the workshop “Cultural Evolution of Planet X: Emergent Creativity & Wisdom of the Crowds”, which will take place on October 6th, 2025, as part of ALIFE 2025 in Kyoto, Japan.
Cultural evolution is the process by which groups collectively accumulate, transform, and share information over time — enabling emergent behaviors, adaptation, and innovation across both biological and artificial systems. The workshop will bring together roboticists, AI researchers, and artificial life scientists to explore how collective processes can shape and reimagine culture.
